Hose-zone

Two socks enter.
Only to lose sight of each other in the agitation and tumble.
Lost somewhere between drain and lint trap,
Or upon the aberrant path leading to the dark side of the moon.
One lonely sock waits in my drawer.

  2. I love the dreamy speculation here - the loneliness and the acceptance of the unknown. "...the agitation and tumble" is a lovely phrase. I think, personally, you might have been better served to write this as two paragraphs rather than as a poem, but it's still a wonderful image.

  3. Haha! I always picture them plotting their escape from the vicious washing machine :) This made me chuckle!
