Trifextra: Week Seventy-Three
Congratulations to the winners this week! I finally got around to a little reading. Trying to find to time write and read around an eighty hour work week is a challenge all on its own. I can't imagine how the guest judges manage it, as well as our esteemed editorial staff. So...
On to the new prompt. This weekend we're asking for 33 of your own words inspired by the idiom, third time's the charm. This familiar phrase may have an indeterminate origin, but its meaning is clear. Whether or not you include the phrase itself is up to you. Just make sure to use exactly 33 words. And, as usual, have fun with it! - See more at: http://www.trifectawritingchallenge.com/#sthash.gxgESHhl.dpuf
"Did ye not stake Michel L'Parre last year, Annie?"
"I did, Liam. After your attempt didn't take."
"Well, sweetling, sharpen yer iron an' I'll bring the garlic. Third time's the charm, they say"
But are those two up to the task of ending Michel L'Parre?
ReplyDeleteHaha! He seems particularly resistant!
ReplyDeleteHaha! That's awesome. Thanks for linking up. And for your sweet comments at the top.
ReplyDeletesweetling! love that word. :) hope it works this time.
ReplyDeleteThey should cut off his head this time. That'll do him. (:
ReplyDeleteThis is great! They definitely need a new approach :)
ReplyDeleteI think they've learned from their past mis-stakes;) Fun take on the prompt!
ReplyDeleteBring the garlic! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHa! Nicely done! Hopefully the third time will do it. Nothing worse than an angry vampire!
ReplyDeleteI admit, I'm not up on all the vampire stuff, but how about a crusie missle? Save the garlic for the pasta sauce. Fun story.
ReplyDeleteI love Liam. He's such a great foil for Anne Marie.
